"Project Mutt" rides again!

I know it has been awhile since you guys heard about the Mutt so i thought I would update you. Car is coming along very nicely (it belongs to Lindsey's brother now but I still get to do all the repair and modding). It has a nice coat of fresh paint, all the body dings and dents are fixed, just laid in a new carpet today and put in some pro-car seats for the front. It's come a long way. I'll link a couple pics but click the link below to see how it is coming out!

Don't forget how it looked!

Looks good. Nice and clean.

Looks nice! But the stance seems a bit, um, high.

Yeah stock replacement springs with about 2 miles on them, I expect it to "Settle" a bit but it will be stock ride height for an 84. If it doesn't drop down we'll just get Z71 badges for it.....Thing handles awesome though, gotta love a sub 3000 pound firebird.

Looks really good. Nice and clean. No motor work? V8 or V6?

Batman 02-19-2008 02:40 PM

No real motor work, it has the L69 camaro air cleaner and the HO 305 functional cowl hood, apart from that it is a stock LG4.

would he be interested in a 3000 rpm stall? I have a brand new one that I dont have the receipt for. Id be willing to cut a great deal of the price from it. I also Have a transgo shiftkit thats brand new.

Good looking seats. Where did you get them and how much did they cost? Direct bolt in?

They need seat bracket's and sliders also. When all was said and done it was around $500.00 shipped tohe door for everything. Only thing that kinda sucks about them (and most aftermarket seats) is they sit like 2-3 inches higher, which isn't bad once you get used to it, but if you like that low slung, laying down feeling of the stock seats you will have to modify the slider brackets to get them lower and then you may run into clearance issues with the console and shoulder belt. I hated the seat height at first then I drove a couple of miles and realized it was ALOT more comfortable, and a whole hell of alot easier to get in and out of, even if it felt a little wierd being able to see the whole hood. I also wouldn't recommend them if you are like 6'3".
