Why does the media make such a big deal of Obama vs. Clinton when in teh end McCain is the next president anyway, seems like a waist of time to me.

cause theres nothing else to use to pit us against each other...but I'm voting for McCain and think both Hillary and Obama can burn in hell. if hillary is elected that commie whore with destroy or economy(think bush was bad, that was nothing) and obama, well he'd turn America into an Obama-nation :lol:

As for the answer...its because Obama and Clinton are in a tight race for the Dem nomination, and since everyone is sick and tired of the death toll in Iraq and our failure in Afganastan, and Britney Spear's updates, the failing economy, the destruction of the housing market, the skyrocketing oil prices based on speculation, and all the other great stuff, this is the most relevent topic that people wana talk about.

I part of the debate, got pissed off from there half baked schemes to just make it all better. besides your forgetting one KEY aspect. Once elected will any of that happen. Do you think Hillary will keep her word, do you think Obama would keep his word. I'd trust McCain to do what he says he will, far before I'd trust either of them. What does Hillary know about war, NOTHING, her husband didn't do anything about anything. He singed bills into act that did not become effective till well after Bush was in office. What to say she won't do the same. It worked for bill because Osama didn't attack twice, well now were at war with his followers and remember a vote for hill is a vote for bill. whats going to happen is she'll pull a large number of soldiers out, the Al queda thats still there will start attacking in VERY large numbers and our remaining troops will be slaughtered along with our allies and any other America friendly political figure. Don't even get me started on her government heath care, look at Europe, they come HERE for our higher quality of medical facilities and the fact that they don't need to be on a waiting list to have life saving surgery. Thats why I don't support hillary. Obama has no idea what he's doing or getting himself into, just watch him talk, end of story. You ask for proof, thee is no youtube or quote that will provide proof cause both candidates have talked so many circles, they actually running against them selves, its a race to see who get caught 1st

Now McCain has been to war, he knows what its like he know how we need to fight an organized group radicals. McCain is an older man and he understands the needs that our seniors have, and eventually we will be seniors too.

I will probably vote for McCain either way, but again no one can tell me exactly what makes Hillary a bad person?
People come to the US for our health service, and somehow this is all gunna change, and we are gunna have crappy doctors when we have a national healthcare system? I think a hybrid system, one with base coverage for everyone while those that want more, pay for more. Just like a car. Its not a crazy idea and is done everywhere.

Hillary cannot make the command to bring all troops home. It wont happen over night, but it will be a slow withdraw. Keep our apperance in the middle east to as little as possible.
How about send troops to Afganastan where they are losing ground to a stronger Taliban?
Obama has shown me little as far as foreign and domestic policy. Lot a talk about Change, but I dont see where its coming from. His idea's mimic Hillary but Id rather have her in there then him due to her knowlage of the job, and experiance of her husband.

Well even bill don't like her much sleeping with anything in a skirt at any time < but you gotta love a woman who stays with a guy who she knows every one in the (( world ))knows > her husband is a cheating dog

Democrats are a weak party...if either one gets elected were in trouble. Kiss 70% of our armed forces goodbye, and say hello to tons of attacks. McCain FTW.

Al, Clinton's universal healthcare will cripple this economy. The government is spending enough as it is, spending more is NOT the answer. She wants to raise taxes on the rich...ok great...piss off the people that ARE spending $$. She has no plans to cut or freeze corporate taxes...GREAT, help force out or worry the companies that ARE here. The only companies that will flourish under her plans are the drug companies. Think about it, why do you think they're rallying behind her? Her financial plans will put us in the red by $210 billion. She DEMANDS this and will MANDATE that. Great, she has a plan and will do what it takes to get it done but her constant desire for power will not allow the left and the right to work together(I have no proof of that last statement, just an observation). She's flip-flopped on a few issues and quite frankly I don't trust her. She will do whatever it takes to gain power. Her campaign is very symbolic of the person she is, she hasn't really attacked Obama's plans but rather she's attacked HIM as the PERSON. Now granted, both of their plans are very similar so I guess that's all she can attack.

since America has been a nation, we've been attacked 2 or 3 times. Mexican war we got invaded for a few hours, the first world trade center bombing and the second world trade center attack.

we have a pretty good track record of not getting attacked. besides, I'd rather have all my freedom and worry about getting attacked than have limited freedom with a false hope of safety.

I'm not voting till I see what these leeches are all about. Politicians are all crooks, it's just choosing the lesser of 2 evils. And I'm also sick of this 2 party system...PEOPLE there are more than 2 parties out there. Voting third party is not throwing your vote away, it's voicing your displeasure. If you want to get technical, we were a british commonwealth, not a country when we faught the Revolution. Pearl Harbor was a military attack on an island that was not part of the US at the time.
Lusitania was a British cruise ship. Americans were on it, with possible wepons going to Britian. I belive we didnt go to war in WWI till we intercepted a letter from the German leader to the Mexican President about invading our southern boarder to distract us from going to war in Europe.

perhaps I should have worded my first statement better and excluded the Mexican war part. I was referring to acts of terrorism. unprovoked, non-military attacks.

the revolutionary war was just that, a war. pearl harbor was a military installation that was attacked by another country's military. As Al already said, the Lusitania was a British ship that was sunk off the coast of Ireland. By no means am I trying to down play the importance of any of these events, but they are not "terrorist" attacks. They are all acts of war.


I also do not appreciate being talked down to. Yeah, I'm young and no, I've never been in combat but that does not make me any less of a person. You're also very quick to label me a liberal when you know nothing of my views.
