Frosty 02-24-2008 08:06 PM

Was it postponed or something? I noticed it was only like 80 laps in a few minutes ago.

BonzoHansen 02-24-2008 08:19 PM

Thanks god for A/S.

NASCAR sucks trying to run this race. Lots of cars wrecked slipping on water. Making those fans hang in there all day in the rain.

Is it supposed to rain there tomorrow too?

DaSkinnyGuy 02-24-2008 08:23 PM

A pet peve nascar drivers do make a right turn that is when leaving their pit box.... and walkins glen

Yes...it's been raining there all weekend. No qualifying, only ~15 minutes of practice I think, and now they are on their 2nd or 3rd rain delay of the night. Also, the latest I heard is that they are still supposed to run the Nationwide (Busch Series) race after the Cup race....prolly won't tonight though.

And of course(if your an Earnhardt Jr. fan)he gets wiped out on like the 20th lap from another driver. Last year he had 6 DNF, and this year he's getting another crap start.

SteveR 02-24-2008 09:14 PM

I like watching nascar, but watching them make right turns on road courses is like watching the special olympics  They should stick to lefts only and leave the real driving to F-1

On a scale of 1 -10, how many

BonzoHansen 02-24-2008 09:44 PM

4 :-P

bandit88 02-25-2008 07:00 AM

It seemed like every five laps there was a caution, or a red flag....... i stopped watching it when it started raining again, I think its postponed till today.

BTW my guy just barely missed those wrecks....... I think we have a chance since last season he was in almost every one of them!

Jr.'s actually looking pretty good this year. If not for that crash, which he did not cause, he'd have been doing alright. As I recall, a lot of those DNFs last year involved DEI engines pooing the bed. Have faith, sir.

They're going to try running the race again today at 1:00 pm. Gonna run out and get my lunch and see how much the boss lets me get away with watching.

i would say about 7 or 8 drivers would hold their own on a road course..not to mention the few drivers who left road racing to come and make "only left turns..."

PS- was a decent race after all today...Gordon finished 3rd, i am satisfied...

Tru2Chevy 02-26-2008 09:12 AM

Yea, no one could keep up with Carl Edwards near the end of the race. I thought Jeff might catch Jimmy at the end, but a top 3 after his troubles at Daytona is good enough.
