I bought it about a year ago still new in the box with the "World Domination Tour" C&C Gold & The Covert Ops works on XP, but old Red Alert doesn't work! I'm a huge fan still of Tiberian Sun/Firestorm

run it in compatibility mode alex, might not be full screen but it looks crappy on full screen anyway lol

Tru2Chevy 03-04-2008 08:43 PM

Yea Alex, I've run red alert on XP SP2 with compatibility mode.

I have Tiberium wars for 360, haven't played it in a while though.

Install Daemon tools or a program like that. It will work like a cd-rom emulator. Then mount the image into daemon tools and it will work like it's running off of a CD.

Thats how I had C&C Gold running previously, and it was fine, but when I ran Red Alert in Compatibility mode, especially with Counterstrike & The Aftermarth, the screen was all distorted color & size wise.

Or you could just burn them onto a CD if you want to have the install disks.

You have Daemon running and the image mounted? Remember that you need the appropriate disc in the drive for the appropriate campaign.

Edit- Oh, and did you read the install instructions here: http://files.ea.com/downloads/eagame...XP_INSTALL.doc

i got the C&C Collection: Tiberian Sun, FireStorm, Renegade, RA2 and Yuri's Revenge all in one box. i had gotten Tiberian Sun a while back - on its own CD. a while ago i got C&C, Covert Ops, Red Alert, RA 2 all in one box. i actually prefer to pick them up more than one in a box, as you definitely save bux and it keeps everything neat when you don't have 10 cds. i got The Collection online for shipping, which i think was $6. i started out playing C&C on Sega Saturn.
