Third Gen E-Brake Question
 
My 87 iroc's e-brake right now does not work. can somebody please tell me the basics about the emergency brake, what parts i will need, and how to hook it up? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

is it just the light ? does the hand brake work ?

The light doesnt work but that doesnt matter...the handbrake doesnt work either, i can pull the brake up but the brake wont activate

most likely the cable snapped jack up the car and look ontop of the shaft the brake cable run through down there. the light might be the bulb is out

o ok thanks man...u dont think that there could be a part im missing or anything? i bought the car from a guy that was restoring it, so its not 100%, so maybe one of the parts fell off sooner or later.

main cable that goes from the handle to a "T" connection that is right above the driveshaft. (might be easier to drop the drive shaft to adjust/attach the lines)

From the t, one cable goes to each wheel. Any auto store has or can get the parts

Not to hijack the thread or anything but my "T" is lopsided, how do i fix it without putting too much tension on the line?
