transmission mount

well... i blew another tranny mount after replacing with a stock i would like to replace with something that will last. I have been looking around and saw that i can use the stock v8 tranny mount and it will work better and not fail... dam hydraulic one seems to fail ALOT. what year am i looking for for the stock v8 one? i was thinking of juts going to autozone and asking for the same year but v8 mount...just wanted to make sure its the right one.

huh?

hydraulic mount? stock as in the rubber one? im lost

im gonna assume u have a 95 V6 camaro...
anyways... get a urethane one and never look back... couldnt find one for your exact application though, im pretty sure 82-02 are all about the same though, maybe tiny differences and little modification needed

Stock ones, for v6s at least, are hydraulic.

If you get a poly mount, just know you will have to do the following:

1) use a dremel or such to lenthen the notch in the crossmember, since on the stock mount if you look at it the part that bolts thru the crossmember is rather back then where the mount mounts to the trans. The poly mount isn't staggered.

2) Our mounts are taller than the v8 ones, so you will need to shim the mount up with washers to the proper height.

Neither of these are dificult or time-consuming

Follow Savage_Messiah's advice to the T, and you'll be good to go (prolly for the life of your v6).

i just got the stock v8 mount... its a solid mount rather than the stock v6 mount that im supposed to use...(yes i have a v6 camaro)... i put the v8 moutn on and shimmed with washers and it works beautifully... car never drove better

Why not get a torque arm relocation kit? Then you would never have to worry about it breaking the mount or the trans ever again..
