Simple Question
How long (hours) should replacing the fuel pump in a 4th gen take?
Doing it the right way. |
Book time is prolly 6+ hours, but I bet one or two people with jackstands and a good set of tools could do it in 2 hours or less if they knew what they were doing.

Someone offered to help me out and i'm trying to arrange something for this weekend.
The shop told me five hours for a grand total of .... $1035 + tax but they're not getting it |

He asked about doing it the right way. Im honestly getting tired of people repeatedly suggesting cutting an "access hole". Obviously he KNOWS of that option and does not want to do it, why can't it be left at that.

5 hours @ JS Performance = $325.... Damn, I should raise my rates...

Uhh a firend and I changed a fuel pump in a parking lot down in Orlando this past feb, using a small flash light and some cheap ass tools we bought at Pep Boys..
Hour and half. :D My personal record is 2 hours with just me doing it the right way. Then again I know all the bolt sizes back there off the top of my head.. So that might help. |
