WOW. This guy must have been cheezing(refering to south park) when he decided to purchase those wheels. I like my 00 16" camaro wheels on my thirdgen JUST FINE.

TheBandit 03-28-2008 12:21 AM

:werddance: Anything bigger is rarely tasteful

jin1481 03-28-2008 08:41 AM

there is a blue firebird on the blackhorse pike, at the "tuner" shop in the gas just before pep boys on the southbound side, with "dubs" that looks gay.

chevyt454 03-28-2008 11:47 AM

depends on the vehicle. some cars can rock 22s, like the chrysler 300, and then trucks always need big wheels. 20s looked tiny on my denali.

not even aesthetically pleasing. nor is it practical. with those rubber band tires, you have to avoid ALL potholes, or worry about damaging a rim.

I actually meant i wouldn't go bigger than 18s on an f-body. There's definitely cars that can rock 20s and 22s and stuff.

there has been an influx on TGO of people with 20's. Most are on rubber band tires and don't look the best, but there is this one guy who has 20's and larger than stock diameter tires, i think 27" or so front and back and it look good. I tried to find it but couldn't, i guess ill have to keep looking

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...IM13992222.jpg

and check out this craigslist post http://cnj.craigslist.org/car/613110065.html - he's been reposting for months now - nice looking car except for the rims.

ar0ck 03-30-2008 09:42 PM

20's can be done tastefully.

Any they probably still rock the crappy 3rd gen 10" rotors and tiny drums. Idiots. Lots of added weight. Anything over 18 is a waste unless it is to make room for brakes.

68camaroguy 03-30-2008 10:25 PM

theres a blue and gray formula( i think) in Hasbrouck Heights and Wood Ridge area here, that has big chrome 20s on it. it llooks horrible. kid put headers on the car and left the 02 sensor hanging next to it. never plugged it in and now the car doesnt idle normally and is all fuct up from driving it like that for a year..... he goes to my friends shop and just gets ripped on all day for that ugly excuse of an fbody

91DropTop 03-30-2008 10:35 PM

here is 18's in the front and 20's in the rear too big for my taste but i think he pulls it off well...one of the guys from TGO

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/580439

and here is a post from TGO with a few cars with 20's and 22's horrible but the red camaro with the 18" chrome irocs looks nice
