Drag Radial Question

About how many miles are drag radials good for? Does it depend on the brand of tires?

It all depends on the brand and how you drive. Just like any tire. Also all radials have sweet spots at all sorts of intervals in their lives. I hear Nittos have the longest life but the least amount of grip until they are worn.

From having almost every brand on my old mustang my ta and on a couple friends cars heres the conclusion i came too...

1. Mickey thomson- hook the best but last 4-5k miles
2. BFG- hook 2nd best and last from 6-9k miles and the new tread pattern is supposed to last a little longer and hook a little better but i have no experiance with it
3. nitto's hook well from a street tire and hook better the more they are worn and also need a bigger burn out to heat up but last 10-12k miles

Completely depends on how you drive and how much track time they'll see.
