Not what you expect when pulling a intake
So me and Rob-WS6 started to pull apart the motor from the 96 parts car we got a couple years ago. This engine ran great, and we never touched it until now.
Pulled the intake and these was a surprise inside...... ready? http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...isc/lt1rag.jpg |

Is that actually a rag that someone left in there?

that rag almost looks like it was put in there intentionally. it looks too perfectly spread out, i wonder if its some kind of old school racing trick

And Im pretty sure that who ever tried to fix the inherint lt1 intake oil leak put that there to protect agaings debris falling the the valley while scraping off the old gaskets and what not... how the hell they forgot about it is beyond me! |
