Have a cheesy question?
Is it cheesy for one to display trophies you won in the past at the current car show you are in? I have always thought it was cheesy, but at certain shows its added points. What is your take? I am curious to know.

as long as your not crowding the car with em then its not really cheesy...
|
Yeah I agree. When Im at a show looking at the cars I want to see the car not a bunch of trophies piled all over the car.
|
ehh i used to take like 2... but i havent gotten one in years lol
|
any more than 1 is cheezy IMO.
i'm really not a fan of it; seeing that ricers are the only ones that really do it other than guys with absolutely gorgeous classics |
Yeah that is a big ricer thing too.
|
i think its kinda like a "hey, look at me!" type of thing...IMO the car should be the attention getter, not the trophies

How to tell if your child is Cheesing:
1.) Your child seems distant, preoccupied. 2.) Your child's face smells like cat urine. 3.) When you see tigers at the zoo, your child starts grinding his or her teeth. |

Totally cheesy! Never display trophies with your car. And none of those d@m little doll kids leaning on the car either! If your car is nice and well built, it will speak for itself.
|
Plus some cruises/shows just hand out trophys sometimes, that would be pretty lame displaying freebies, now if its a really big one, like taller then Kasey... maybe.

To each their own. I think if you won some huge award, why not show it off, you won it after all.

I'm a firm believer of ,let the car speak for itself . what did teddy Roosevelt say "walk softly and carry a big stick" . anyway most of those trophy's are about 5 dollars a piece at the trophy store. i mean if its a wally or the Harley Earl then display with pride but a stupid local rigged car cruse or show, please! i won a few with the 73 and they sit on a shelf it the garage providing a home for homeless spiders

what about the mirrors under the car?

mirrors are better for indoor car shows. they were actually supposed to add more light to the car's finish in lowly-lit or lower-than-preferred-lighted shows, where the person wanted to add extra light to their car's paint job. then they started with all of the polished/chromed parts underneath and suddenly everyone had mirrors under their car. i think it's tacky at an outdoor show, and would have to have special circumstances for me to use in an indoor show. |
If its like ar eally tall trophie....maybe, but what do I care what you won with it, I wanna see the damn car, not what you polish every night.
