Rough idea on what my car is worth?
I was wondering if you guys could help me place a number on my car. I found a police package Camaro (Z28 in RS clothing) that a guy I know is willing to hold for me until I get the money together to buy it. I have the car up for trade in the FS section, but if I can sell it and get the money to buy the Camaro, I'd be just peachy. Below is what the ad looks like. Please give your input here or via PM.
--------------------------------------------------This is what the ad looks like--------------------------------------------------------- Pretty much what the title says. I'd like a base model TA (or Camaro if I have to) with a 305/350 TPI, auto or manual. Has to be in really good condition. No rust. I've never had much use for factory options. Hardtop is a must. Really only looking for trades. '87 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Package 97xxx miles Automatic 305 Hooker headers Magnaflow exhaust 3" piping Fiberglass Ram-Air Hood Fiberglass wing Remote Starter/Door lock/unlock. Just did tune up w/NGK Iridium plugs, wires, etc. Matrix Bucket seats (comes with stockers too) All options, including t-bar option set. Needs: Heater core replaced. I have the part and will most likely put it in on Monday (20 minute job, don't have to remove the dash for this one). I'll remove this part of the ad once I get it done. Needs a rear. Fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. This actually opens up the opportunity to pick and choose what kind of rear and what gearing you would want. If I replace it, price will most likely go up. That's pretty much it. One dent on the pass. side 1/4 panel, but it's an easy fix. Drive perfect. http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...IMG_0695-1.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...IMG_0691-1.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...IMG_0682-1.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...8/IMG_0683.jpg |
no offense, but i think if you want the ad to be taken more seriously use pics w/o teenagers in them

We're all well into our 20s

Relax dude, I was joking. I'm gonna turn 22 tomorrow, so I'm getting there. I made the thread because the only numbers I know are what I actually put into the car. Those are the only decent pics I have, from a Sonics run a few weeks ago. I'll probably take some more once I get a chance to wash it. I just don't know the actual, say, base value of a 3rd gen.

I'll trade you a black painted stock T/A hood for that hood. I know a guy that wants one for his car.

Realisticly if someone had this up on thirdgen.org or ebaymotors.com I would say $3grand
|
in '99 i sold my 88 GTA for 2200. it was black, cloth interior 77k miles, digital dash, t tops, rebuilt trans w shift kit, 305 tpi, macco paint job, edelbrock catback.
so depending on the up close appearence of your car i'd say between 2500 and 3500. |

I think $3300 is fair. Start at like $3500 b/o. Don't take less than $3K.

Mensaf, I'd put a price on it and sell it. But first, wash and detail it. Then, take it to the park and take pics of it WITHOUT anyone in the picture. Yeah, your friends are in their 20s, but they look like teens, and people see cars owned by who they think are teens and say, "That thing's been beat on-pass." Remember, with most cars, you're not going to get out of a sale what you put into the car in parts. I'd say put a $3500 price tag on it and negotiate from there. This way, if you make 3k, you're ahead of the game. Just my two bits. Good luck! I'd love to see that B4C! |
Thanks a lot for the input fellas. I'm going to go to Brookdale park in Clifton today and snap some pics after doing a little bike riding. I cleaned it yesterday, so it actually looks pretty nice right now.
I'd be sooo happy if I were able to get the B4C. |
