who builds t-56's in NJ

my brothers 95 LT4 vette dont exactly shift so smooth, so we changed the fluid yesterday to find a lot of bronze shavings, probably from the fork pads. Is there anyone local who is good at rebuilding t-56's

Are you sure it's a t56?

alamantia 04-14-2008 07:53 AM

thought it was, what else did GM put in 1995 vettes?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, all manual corvettes from 89-96 use the ZF 6 speed.

John, I was under the same assumption. That it's a ZF 6 speed. Corvettes never got the front mounted T-56 like the F-bodies, Mustangs, and Vipers did.

Rockland Standard Gear might be able to help you. I think they are just across the border in Sloatsburg NY.
