CCC Jets

I upgraded my ignition and now I'm running way too lean. Where is the best place to buy jets?

deadtrend1 04-20-2008 11:10 AM

What did you do to the ignition to make you start "running lean"?

426 Wedge 04-20-2008 12:59 PM

Hypertech cap and MSD wires.

You shouldnt really have a problem with your a/f being lean with what you did. What makes you think it has a lean problem? Plugs peppered or bright white?? Popping upstairs? Pinging? Those carbs are controlled by a mixtrue control solenoid as long as everything is operating you may even have just a bad o2 sensor.

Plugs are light in color.

As Josh said, those carbs control the A/F automatically. I would also say swap the O2 sensor before you start screwing with the carb (which doesn't have jets anyway).

Should the MCS turn on when the key is in the on position?

JSPERFORMANCE 04-21-2008 07:44 AM

When the key is on you will hear a clicking noise which is the solenoid. Light in color is good as long as they are not bright white. The car should really be scanned to determine that everything is properly operating before you come to any conclusions.

If I remember correctly, a Computer Controlled Carb is a Q-Jet, which would mean you want metering rods and not jets...
