Independant rear conversion?
Anyone know of anyone doing this? Probably off an old vette? This would be something I'd be very willing to invest some money into doing if it's just a matter of some parts interchanges and welding.

I would only ever consider doing this for the "coolness factor", at least for my first gen. I don't like the wheel hop issues that come along with an IRS (or at least the C3 and C4 vette ones, which are the most affordable from what I remember but also the poorest design). |
For a 3rd or 4th gen the most common IRS's that are available are ones from C4's. I had a whole write up with pictures on my computer but now I can't find it. You better know a really good fabricator.

There is one in the latest GMHT, I think. You best have a reason better then bling for the time & $$ of it all. Not a bolt in.
Bill, Wayne Due is out of the business now. |

As I understand it, the town forced him out over zoning issues, so he went back to the family business (a vinyard, i beleive)

Could a modern GTO rear be fabricated to fit?
