installed a system.

i installed it in my step-brothers 1998 sunfire that he got a few days ago this morning. he paid 400 for the car and all it needs is paint and a new front bumper. i did a quick install cuz he didnt care about hiding wires so i did the quick install and hit them under the door sill and just left it open in the back.

Amp-25 bucks
Rear 6x9's-30 bucks at wakmart (dub series) lol
All wires-30 bucks
Chrome hubcaps that look like poop-20 bucks at walmart
Having a system thats worth more than your little ricer p.o.s-priceless

madness410 05-01-2008 10:24 PM

hah nice job...what brand is the headunit subs and amp?

Slo86Bird 05-01-2008 10:25 PM

the amp is screwed onto the back of the rear seat and the pic of the subs is with the rear seat folded down so its facing front.

Slo86Bird 05-01-2008 10:26 PM

pioneer headunit....california amp....viewsonic? subs...

the amp i got from a buddy cuz his dad owns a car dealership and he finds random things in vehicles.

sweetbmxrider 05-01-2008 10:29 PM

sweeeeeeeeeeeet

Slo86Bird 05-01-2008 10:30 PM

oh yeh...forgot to mention... the subs hit so hard that the rear view mirror fell off. lol:rofl:

sweetbmxrider 05-01-2008 10:35 PM

 epic

TheBandit 05-02-2008 07:05 PM

Meh there Visonics, you can get them at a flee market for $20. Something must be wrong with the rearview mirror, cause visonics in a prefab box won't do that ;)

maroman88 05-03-2008 01:22 AM

i had them in my mustang and old z28, i bought the package deal from pep boys and for wat i paid, they were damn good

TheBandit 05-03-2008 07:28 AM

Lol i heard a pair :barf: Then i think there was a pair in my garage... soooooo... i plugged them into a wall socket xD.. blew them right apart and they were smoking it was great.

quasar34 05-03-2008 11:22 AM

haha yea i got 2 - 10' visionik subs in the trunk of my DD escort cuz i needed some bass.. for what i paid they hit hard enough..

IROCZman15 08-25-2008 03:14 AM

not to burst your bubble.. but California.. is the worst cheapest amp company in existence. the amp wont last. try to hide the wires a bit, or stapel them down a bit. its good to learn how to do it tho rite?

Slo86Bird 08-25-2008 09:35 AM

amp was 20 bucks and i sold it to him so idc. i have alpine. the wires he didnt care about cuz its in his trunk...the amp is screwed to the back of his rear seat and the subs are facing the back of the seat. so its covered anyways.

TheBandit 08-31-2008 05:16 PM

Lol for the money everyone could buy so much better i just don't understand. And to everybody.. Visonics don't hit hard :/

Slo86Bird 08-31-2008 10:47 PM

subs and box were free. the entire system cost 90 bucks. so idc and he dont care about the quality.

TheBandit 09-01-2008 01:06 AM

No no i completely agree believe me. When **** is free or cheap you cant beat it. Just trying to point out that instead of new visonics you can get something way better for the money.

You had the viewsonics hooked up in your garage then destroyed them by hooking them up to a WALLOUTLET:shock: and your an expert?

Their not the best of the best but subs are still subs and viewsonics hit hard, just not to clean/crisp.

I cant say I could build a better system for less than 90...tuck those wires sounds like all in all it was a good deal.(400 for the sunfire...where can I find one of those)

Slo86Bird 09-02-2008 08:49 AM

and it only failed inspection for parking brake and power steering pump being bad!

Never had visonics hooked up in my garage.... I found them in my garage and hooked them up to the wall to blow them up because they were pieces of garbage. And how does purposely destroying something take away from someone's reputation?. I'm no expert i just know some stuff about car audio. But its like when somebody talks about their car and says its fast when you know it isn't and you get ticked off. I'm not trying to be a dick, just being blunt. Visonics don't hit all that great. MAW 12s are like $100 a pop and will out perform a quite a bit of stuff thats more expensive. BTW it's Visonic not viewsonic.

BTW - When did i ever refer to myself as an expert?

GP99GT 09-02-2008 08:29 PM

stop calling them viewsonics people

and my saturn has a stereo worth at least half of what the car is worth

2 Pioneer champion series 12" dual voice coil subs, a soundstream XTA880 amp, kenwood components all around, and a panasonic head unit out of justin's old lumina

i cant even turn it up all the way  it hurts my ears

NJSPEEDER 09-05-2008 08:04 PM

Reminds me of when I had the 10's in my poop brown Cavy. I got everything, speakers, box, subs, amp, and headunit, from clearance tables at Circuit City and Best Buy for well under $200. heh

That's a hell of a deal. What kind of equipment was it.

98CamaroSS 09-05-2008 10:00 PM

What ever kind of boxes best buy sells, it was a returned box that someone screwed the speakers in all cockeyed, whatever speakers and subs(all pioneer i think) they had taken out of the displays, pioneer head unit, wires that a friend had, and a few hours to slap it together.

I was surprised the car didn't rattle itself to pieces, although skipping cd's was fun. lol

sweetbmxrider 09-06-2008 12:03 PM

i think they carry q logic. well thats what my friend got with his
