Stoopid computer: no sound...
 

I fired up the computer tonight, and I have no sound. No "Welcome, you've got mail," no sound on Youtube vids, no "Metal Health" on unstablebobgable.com, etc. I restarted the computer and checked to make sure my speakers are plugged in and hooked up, and still no sound. I suck at the computer mod, so can anybody point me towards a cure?

If your running vista and a creative sound card I have a fix for you .If not , you suck you and you broke it :)

The only "Vista" I know of is the station wagon Oldsmobile used to build...
I just have a plain jane set up w/ AOL as my service. *shrug*

Nope. I did nuffin to make the sound not work. I looked around and found a "troubleshooting" area, and "no sound" was on the list. Through it I found the "mute" function activated. Prolly something the wife did somehow..
