trans am tail lights
i have an 86 firebird with stock tail lights, but my i found a set of 87 trans am tail lights at my dads work. they said i can have them. i have 2 questions.
1. is there a way to get the bird off the center piece (broken) without breaking it. 2. do i need to change any wiring? thanks |
The bird itself can be takin off, although im not sure how i had one in my garage. If you can't get that one off i can look for it and you can have it if youd like.

wiring is different. The stock lights can be plugged in and have the turn signals on the outside but it wont all light up how its supposed to. I think I have a harness in my garage. When its not pouring rain ill go look.

wirins is the same! there will be like 4 extra small plugs and u just take out the bulbs and leave them hang out....i did the same thing on my 86 and put 87 t/a lights on.....also, the bird, u just take a heat gun to it or use a small pocket knife and work carefully...

I've seen the way it lights up after a tail lamp swap .. they aren't the same |
only thing that wasnt the same was that the little wires had no slots to go in so all u have to do is take out the bulb but everything else is exact.

alright i fixed the center piece and will have to check the light wiring problem tomorrow (hopefully). but now there is 1 thing i will need, a passenger side tail light. i just polished them all and it is TRASH! every square inch of it is seperated! so i need the light.
