convert from .wav to .mp3
 
i have a bunch of wav files i want to convert over to mp3. i did a google search and found only trial versions that let me do only part of the file. does anyone have a program for me to use? the file was lifted off my friends olympus voice recorder

if you download itunes, you should be able to do it in there.

Problem is that itunes only does like 128k bit rate which sucks ....

I use Exact Audio Copy

No, you can select the bitrate in iTunes, but their encoder still sucks. However, if the .wav came from a handheld voice recorder, it's prolly not of great quality to begin with, so using a high bitrate and a top of the line encoder won't make much (if any) difference.
