corvette heads

ok so i have corvette heads #113's laying around. i heard this rumor they will fit onto a 305. has anyone heard of this or tried it? I am looking to do some work to my 305 before i put the tpi on in the fall. i am also going to add a healthy cam and get the tpi custom tuned. One of the few reasons i want to do this to the 305 is because its brand new and my 350 block needs a lot of work and im probably just going to sell it. does anyone have any links or know of anyone that did this? thanks

Those heads will work on a 305, since they have 58cc chambers. Just make sure you get an '85 or '86 TPI intake, since that has the right bolt pattern to match the 113 Vette heads.

I have my old TPI setup off my 86 vette.

Also those heads have no heat crossover for the EGR so you will have to get a block of plate for the egr or get the EGR crossover tube like the vettes used.

i have a complete setup from an 86 tpi so the intake should work, and i could just get the egr tuned out of the computer? will it run ok and pass emissions or do i need that vette one.

does anyone know any performance gains with these heads?
thanks for the help

They are a definite improvement over the stock 305 heads, and they are aluminum, so you'll be saving weight too :)

I have a set of them on my 400, but I bought them as an upgrade for my stock 305 heads originally.

hmm yeah i did some research a little and they are def an improvement. so i guess i know what i am doing in the fall....now to find a nice cam...I am looking to get close or over 300hp with the tpi. i will get the tpi tuned after i get the engine running again. anyone have any good cam recommendations?

If you are looking to make big power out of the 305 just call up one of the cam companies and tell them what you have. They will either recommend an off the shelf cam for ya, or get you a custom cam cut to more ideal specs.

300 RWHP prolly won't be easy in a 305 TPI. It should be quite a torque motor though.
