Sure it could, any push button switch could be wired into your shifter.
Problem is...finding a shifter out of an $400k SLR that has the push button start in the shifter.
You have a better chance of finding a S2000's push button start and just put it in your dash where you can reach it.

I guess turning a key is really outplayed now then...

Rig up a finger print scanner, that would be different.

misterjuice 06-06-2008 08:08 PM

yeah it'll work but why would you wanna spend that kind of money.

Slo86Bird 06-06-2008 10:53 PM

junkyards+small things=freeeeeeeee.....shhhhh!

BigAls87Z28 06-07-2008 08:18 AM

You arent going to find a half a million dollar SLR in a junk yard.

misterjuice 06-07-2008 08:48 AM

ummmm Al...those Keyless Go shifter comes in E classes and CLK too...they're much easier to find. They don't have the cover like in the SLR...but the button is there.

Knipps 06-07-2008 09:01 AM

couldn't you just pay 20 bucks for a shifter with a button and wire it how you want?
