i bet. the only cure for a hangover is lots of water and tylenol, but the doctors are saying that tylenol on top of alcohol is a bad thing for your liver. can't win.

hydration is the best thing for you. water/gatorade. lack there of in your system causes the headache.. or in my case, leg cramps :-x

yeah both acetaminophen (tylenol) and ibuprofen (advil) arent good with alcohol. so i just drink lots of water. i feel halfway decent now

edit: tylenol causes liver damage, advil causes stomach bleeding. take your pick

jims69camaro 06-15-2008 10:32 AM

the last time i drank, i had a liter bottle of water by the bedside. i took sips off it when i woke up, then rolled over and went back to sleep. by the time i got out of bed, no hangover. your body uses water to oxidize the alcohol, so you need to replenish after drinking.

glad you're feeling better.

GP99GT 06-15-2008 10:41 AM

yeah normally i drink water before i go to bed...but...i kinda forgot

You guys have it all wrong, the cure for hangovers is to continue drinking the next morning. Works every time!

gatorade doesn't hydrate you. too many electrolytes. water only.

Electrolytes are commonly found in sports drinks. In oral rehydration therapy, electrolyte drinks containing sodium and potassium salts replenish the body's water and electrolyte levels after dehydration caused by exercise, diaphoresis, diarrhea, vomiting or starvation.
que?

Tru2Chevy 06-15-2008 10:36 PM

Notice dehydration caused by excessive consumption of alcohol isn't in that list.....

sweetbmxrider 06-15-2008 10:55 PM

yeah gatorade is good after two hours of intense aerobic exercise, not binge drinking.

TheBandit 06-16-2008 12:13 AM

But a nice cold gatorade is so awesome when you wake up feeling like crap. If i drink the harder stuff that gets my stomach all messed up my cure is usually, wake up bottle/glass of water, pepto, more water :) works like a charm everytime.

I also heard smokin a j when your hungover is good because it makes you eat when you dont really feel like it.. never tried it cause i dont really do that stuff but its interesting.

Guess you arent too up on what diaphoresis is, and some of its pathological causes.

79CamaroDiva 06-16-2008 09:28 AM

for some reason, when I'm really hung over (as in still throwing up, cant get out of bed, etc) chocolate milk is teh cure. i dunno if its cause its so thick or what. My mom told me about it once last year, and it worked wonders. I normally don't get that hung over, but as I drink less and less often from not being at school, my hangovers get worse and worse :(

BigAls87Z28 06-16-2008 10:16 AM

Everytime I drink real hard, I wake up feeling fine cause Im a man.
