What do u think about this rim?

KMC KM820 SS

its at the bottom.

Looks like a TTM but much deeper lip and its polished stainless not machined. Any thoughts?

i'd have to see it on a car but its rather unique. pretty sex. i dig it. old skool flavor with some new feel

usp55 06-16-2008 09:21 PM

Im feeling’em, Its like an 8.5” lip and its polished SS, like the rest of my cars accents - I love the TTM but these, i don’t know...only downside is the 8.5 width. Can prob only slap on a 255, but im not going anywhere fast anyway

heavy! weight is the enemy!

BonzoHansen 06-17-2008 01:34 PM

When I sold rims, KMC were garbage rims. I doubt that has changed.

usp55 06-17-2008 01:42 PM

thats what i expected to hear, but what was so bad about them

You could probably buy American Racing Torque Thrust M's for less and without the gaudy lug nut covers.

balance, finish - overall quality. cheap is cheap for a reason. Things might have changed over the years - but i doubt it.

I wouldn't want to waste money on cheap rims, I've seen rims that leak air when the finish starts to peel. Since you used to sell rims Bonzo, what's your opinion on a good brand for rims? Think Bonspeeds are good for the money?

BonzoHansen 06-24-2008 08:10 AM

The rim market has changed a lot since then (10 years) - a lot of new brands. American Racings gave us very few, if any, problems. KMCs were crap, as were Primes. Centerlines never gave us much trouble either.

i wanted the A.R. rogue wheels but they dont come in my bolt pattern

BigAls87Z28 06-28-2008 08:41 PM

They do come in your bolt pattern of 5x4.75, just not the correct offset.

Maybe Im losing it...but I dont see it?
