So im in the middle of installing my 3.Gr8 Headers..
And i will say they are the most P.I.T.A. headers Ive ever installed. They look frigging awsome on the car, eve n for a 3.8. I painted them with the VHT 1300-2000 Degree paint, wrapped them in black header wrap, and sprayed silicone paint on them to allow them to last alot longer. I got pics and video of my cars exhaust tones from stock, to cutting the muffler off, to cat off. so once this is all done ill make a little video for you guys. I only got the Passenger side on, and now its time to tackle the drivers side. Be back later.

Son of bitch, the damn steering knuckle is rubbing against the header, and it ripped my header wrap. I fixed i by applying another wrap clamp just before where it rips so it doesnt unwind. Does anyone know how to get that away from the header, or at least adjust it to miss it?

hm, it does have 150K on it, but as far as I could see they looked ok. ill have to look them a little more tomarrow.

Pull the headers and replace the mounts before you get it all back together. Being 12 years old and having 150k miles on them I am sure they are sagging at least some.

Well I talked to Kasey about it, he said I might of gotten a cetain batch of headers that came out from them that was hitting the knuckle, figures, I finally have it all together. he said to get in contact with pacsetter and see if I can resolve this problem

When did you get them? I thought those headers came out a while ago....

i had the same problem with my pacesetters. i changed the motor mounts, ground down the steering shaft, and did a little knocking with a hammer. ***** pacesetter. never again. if it was just a drag car, i'd say a manual steering rack from some company. moves it over an inch so you will clear no problem. you could always move the rack over, get custom p/s lines, and realign. thats a bitch though

I got them last year! so idk what the hell is going on. im gonna try grinding down the shaft a little, its no t hitting that hard, just barely scrapes, but it did rip my header wrap up, which kinda pissed me off, but better then nothing you know. this better all be worth it when I get it done.

ahh, yea. You may be in the crap batch. Although motor mounts will help either way, as well a little grinding of the shaft.

Well im in the midle of taking out my EGR pump and bracket cause I had it taken out of the computer. Im happy ot say wiht a little persuasion with the grinder, it clears the header now :D
