computer help
 
well, yesterday me and my buddytook apart my laptop to solder in a new chager jack. we succeeded but my mouse skips and i have to type really slow and push had on the keys and sometimes still dont work.......any ideas?

while it was apart we painted it....pics will be up soon.

What wattage was the soldering iron you used? And I'm not kidding. The low wattage stuff is good for electronics but if you use a high wattage one (like you would use to wire 10-14 gauge wire in your car) you can overheat the circuits you are trying to repair in a delicate situation.

look very nice. what OS is on the laptop?
also make sure nothings grounding out, all connections are tightly connected. aka the ribbon cable/plug for the mouse and keyboards, make sure they're in there straight and securely.

i took it apart again just to make sure and t loks ok. it has vista ultimate. and thanks.! i just wish i left the mouse buttons silver like i did with the front where the headphone jack is.
