computer help
well, yesterday me and my buddytook apart my laptop to solder in a new chager jack. we succeeded but my mouse skips and i have to type really slow and push had on the keys and sometimes still dont work.......any ideas?
while it was apart we painted it....pics will be up soon. |
What wattage was the soldering iron you used? And I'm not kidding. The low wattage stuff is good for electronics but if you use a high wattage one (like you would use to wire 10-14 gauge wire in your car) you can overheat the circuits you are trying to repair in a delicate situation.

idk. i used a stained glass soldering iron.

look very nice. what OS is on the laptop?
also make sure nothings grounding out, all connections are tightly connected. aka the ribbon cable/plug for the mouse and keyboards, make sure they're in there straight and securely. |
i took it apart again just to make sure and t loks ok. it has vista ultimate. and thanks.! i just wish i left the mouse buttons silver like i did with the front where the headphone jack is.
