Sucks man....other driver's fault or yours? What happened?

Cost to repair will depend on how far into the car that impact was felt. I can't tell from a glance at those pics how bad the rocker really is, and we can't tell at all if the floor is bent. If it's just the door/GFX and some work to the rocker it shouldn't be enough to total it.

Wait for Frosty to chime in, and take some more up close pics if you want. He does this sort of thing for a living.

Why are they hard to get? Yea I have worried that it might be totaled. She turned into me as a illegal u turn but we'll see they said I was doing an illegal pass! Wrong! But we'll see. I will take more pics with a camera but those were just to start!

Frosty 06-21-2008 06:21 PM

Damn that molding shredded to pieces. See if you can get some close ups of that rocker. It's going to be toast, hopefully it didn't get into the floor(though I doubt the floor is that bad and if the rocker is cut off for replacement pulling the floor is no big deal).

I'm going to be honest here, prepare to be told it's a total loss. Even with used parts it's going to total. However I'm sure you can still get some shops to fix it, just make sure if you're getting paid from the insurance company you get every dime you can from them so you can use that $$ to get a good, proper repair.

Post some close ups.

...and sorry you got into the accident. :(

EDIT: I noticed the almost flat tire, did the rim take an impact? If it did that's opening up another can of worms there.

Could be....look at the shiny spot near the bottom of the wheel in the first pic. Doesn't look bent though.

Frosty 06-21-2008 06:58 PM

True true.

crazyl 06-21-2008 07:17 PM

Well the tire is flat since I slide some good 50 feet. My rear didn't hit anything or receive any impact. Hopefully it can be fixed ill have more shots tomorrow morning. I looked under neath and it seems to be straight. Tomorrow I am putting the other rim I have on to see if it drives straight. Having my pops follow me to make sure the rear doesn't seem to sway as I think it drives straight. Just that alone with those pictures and what you can assume, How much would it cost to repair?

deadtrend1 06-21-2008 08:51 PM

I have a right side burgundy door and set of GFX off my GTA parts car.

I'm not saying that to make a sale or nothing, just to help you out. Sucks you got hit.

It's hard to say, it depends how cheap you can get the parts for(door, rocker molding, you might have to get the actual rocker used from a yard).

Easily 2K and that's just going off the top of my head, unless of course you have the hook up at a shop.

Slo86Bird 06-21-2008 11:19 PM

i know somene who can do it pretty cheap..and i know where to get all parts.

Then who is this magical person?

I took more pictures this morning and it seems like my floor and rocker should be ok. The blunt of the damage is the door. The ground effects seem to only be torn, they are not really pushed in to much at all. The tire is also popped from when she hit me she slide down my whole side. Im going to get some prices on it one day this week. Im going to take off. I really dont want to loose this car or have it look like this anymore!

I have more just dont know how many I am allowed to upload!

Frosty 06-22-2008 09:24 AM

I'd be shocked if that rockers is ok, is there any way you can rip that molding off?

Hell, if it's ok then it'll cut down on the cost BIG TIME.

crazyl 06-22-2008 10:11 AM

What do you mean rip it off. The ground effects? Howe much of a difference would that be. I know either way its going to cost alot but I just want to know how much to save. I appercaite all you help. Its a shame this happens and this happens to cars like ours. Every cop on scene and the tow truck driver was like wow man what a shame, and asking about the car.

Is it cheaper to buy parts or just buy a parts car if I find one?

Id rather not sell these but I might have to so: I have c6 black rims with a machined lip for sale now. 17x9.5 brand new never mounted, no tires.

DadsZ28 06-22-2008 10:55 AM

Dammmmm.....that sucks!! Glad you are ok thats the main thing. But when stuff like this happens and its not your fault it gets ya pissed off and winds up costing you money and aggrevation. Where on fries mill did it happen as you know i,m on that road everyday, just curious. Hope everything works out for you.

crazyl 06-22-2008 11:13 AM

Soon as you turn on to Fries mill from the black horse pike at the transmission place. She hit me and i slide from where that u turn is into the insurance parking lot. There should still be skid marks and debre still on the yellow lines. I cant stop thinking about it and the more i do the more I get pissed!

Yes, rip the GFX/rocker molding that runs below the door off so you can see the actual rocker panel. You're either going to see a perfectly fine rocker panel or one that is destroyed.

crazyl 06-22-2008 02:27 PM

So who wants to fix my baby? ha I have to drive her around tomorrow to get qoutes. Not looking forward to it at all, worried more then anything. Slo86 Who do you know and where can I get these parts'
