Is the car drag only? If not, are those lakewood's adjustable or set at 90/10?

From previous posts I thought you were setting this up to be a drag car. I guess I'm asking what your goal here is, what are you trying to acheive? Not trying to be a spoilsport, I just hate to see you throw $$ out the wrong window.

Did you already buy the springs? Eibachs & 2nd gens don't always work out (just ask Big Al). I hope you don't end up with a 3"+ drop. Maybe one of the drag guys can chime in on your suspention plans. I'm not familiar enough with that to help in detail, but I didn't think dropping the front was helpful in drag racing.

If drag racing is the forethought here, why bother with the squeaks & such of poly? Why not just stock rebuild (do they even need it)? 90/10s kind kill handling anyway. With the rest of the f/e, I'd just check it all and make sure it is ok (idler arm, center link especially). If you do rebuild the arms, ball joints make sense so you don't have to do them again, not that they are terribly difficult to do..

What arms are you looking at that cost $1200?

i was looking at global west a-arms.

and before i put in the eibachs and 90/10's im doing the ball joints and control arm bushings. its pretty much going track only, maybe the occasional cruise night.

Cool, that is good info. Then the GW arms are overkill for you. The advantages those upper arms offer you won’t be able to really utilize. If you just want the weight advantage or looks factor there are cheaper arms. Plus the lowers are no lighter than your stock arms, so that is $600 saved right there.

For the drags I might assume you want to lighten the front end as much as possible. There are definitely arms out there that will lighten the front end. Most don’t offer any advantages in regards to handling, but it sounds like that is really not a concern here. IMO, I’d save the $$ for lighter arms, and in the meantime just use stock style bushings (are yours really bad?). If I get time to poke around I’ll find some links, but perhaps check out speedwaymotors.com.

My suggestion is to get the advice of the real drag racers around here, like Josh, Baddest434 and some of the other guys. Maybe hit them with PMs and get their opinions. Those guys have forgotten more about drag racing them I’ll ever know.

Why don't you do a front suspension rebuild with QA1 coil overs?

I'd do that instead of the 90/10s, eibachs, and aftermarket control arms.

The coil-over setup would most likely be lighter too.
