Just looking for opinions

Just seeing what you guys think of these tips, and honestly i don't think i like them very much. I figured they came with the kit so I'd see what they look like anyway......what do you guys think?

Hooker tips look good, but make sure that they are pushed even with the bumper.

WildBillyT 07-07-2008 10:46 AM

Doesn't look good to me. Single tips would probably look better.

Untamed 07-07-2008 11:55 AM

I like the tips. Like Al said, make em even with the bumper.

LTb1ow 07-07-2008 12:13 PM

Tuck em a bit more under, or maybe some turndowns.

bubba428 07-07-2008 03:02 PM

definitely tuck them in more

ar0ck 07-07-2008 03:14 PM

I would certainly tuck them in further under the bumper. I'm also a fan of long slant cut single tips that end at the bumper.

maroman88 07-07-2008 03:39 PM

i have them on my 88, i like em

sweetbmxrider 07-07-2008 03:48 PM

they are pretty cool but like everyone said, push em back more. i prefer the 3 1/2" slash tips that turn down a little. looks sweet on 3rd gens

Tru2Chevy 07-07-2008 04:00 PM

No tips FTW....

push em back flush with the bumper or get single slant tips

Jersyboyy 07-07-2008 08:12 PM

I have those with my aerochamber kit. I pushed them back as far as they can go and they still stick slightly out past my bumper. I think it still looks good but wish it would be flush :(

DaSkinnyGuy 07-07-2008 08:16 PM

Single tips = my vote. Nice 3 inch gibson tips.

Anti_Rice_Guy 07-07-2008 08:58 PM

I agree with what most others said...push them in a bit more and you'll be fine.

String 07-07-2008 10:55 PM

I had those tips for a few years, however the hooker cat back rusted out like a Pos. Now i have the big 3 inch slant cut singles and i think i like them better.

bandit88 07-07-2008 11:05 PM

I apperciate everyones opionion very much........ i actually just litterally stuck the tips on just for giggles but i think when i have the time i will push them back :)

plus they are shiny!

SteveR 07-08-2008 12:56 AM

another vote for push back a little.

Use turndowns to point them at the ground. And at that point the exhuast is a lot cooler. Your cat(s) get a lot hotter than exiting exhaust gas and they are under the car...

sweetbmxrider 07-08-2008 02:59 PM

yeah i guess, but exhaust potentially leaking into your car doesn't seem to cool to me.

LTb1ow 07-08-2008 03:01 PM

+1 for not cats, +1 for CO poisoning!

Carbon Monoxide is heavier than air, so it won't drift up into your car much, if at all. The only time it would ever be an issue is if you were to leave the car sitting stationary and running for long periods of time though.

sweetbmxrider 07-08-2008 04:32 PM

yeah like summer traffic and such. look at any liftgate of most any car. it specifically says not to leave it open with the engine running for such reason. just my thoughts
