alright so some of you should know me as the guy who thought he had a 350..... and found out wrong... ok well i finnally got some aggressive speed shifting in and some stock goodyear eagle gt2s and well my old 15.7 bam went to a monster 15.4 and i took that toyota tacoma stock:rofl:.<<< even had a 6 cyl in it. so now i sit preparation for next week. so does 15.4 sound like a good time for a stock 305?

15.4 for a bone stock 305 tpi auto car can be considered slow. The norm is around 14.8-15.2 for them. 5 speed cars generally can run even a 14.7 (keep up with the 350 autos). Your car could probably still use a good tune up.

For starters I wouldn't do the John Force style one wheel peel that you do....Just roll thru the water and do a couple of dry hops before you get to the line and you should be fine....

Tune your car up. High 14's should be where you need to be. My buddies 92 T/A Vert went 14.5 on minor bolt on's.

JerzyIroc or whoever has the blue iroc in JC ran 14.7 with just exhaust

My '84 Monte SS went 14.53 @ 95mph with just headers...and one wheel peel!

my non stock 305 went 13.1
and 11.47 on a 150 shot

yea sorry i had to. least now i know. well im doing a tune up tommorow and possiblly run a little better.
