F-Body vs. Mustang IS RAINED TONIGHT!

Just letting everyone know who DOESN'T read the stickies and East Coast Nats forum. Tonight at Island we are the hosting club for the fbody vs. mustang challenge.. Come on out and show some support. gates open 6pm, racing from 630-1030.

Even if you don't have one or the other, there's still street legal racing going on, and spectators are just 10 bucks.

BonzoHansen 08-08-2008 02:33 PM

$10! W00t! LOL. Me, B64C, Rich & Ana, and Scooter are leaving soon.

What if it rains? As it is kinda doing now

I'll be there with my Camaro and an STI. Provided weather stays nice

JL8Jeff 08-08-2008 02:42 PM

I might head up after work. I need to get a couple of things done first and then see how the weather is holding up.

ISLAND IS RAINED OUT TONIGHT!!!!

We will make up Mustang vs F-Body later in the year.

Tsar 08-08-2008 03:05 PM

rained out? the sky is blue here... :?:

BonzoHansen 08-08-2008 03:08 PM

Melissa called me and said the track is not opening tonight. Rain is on the way.

JL8Jeff 08-08-2008 03:08 PM

I was wondering if it would go on. There's a decent number of showers coming down through PA and NY. Scott, see if Pampered can get in touch with Kazman since he would be coming from out near Reading PA.

unfortunately with a weather dependent business, we have to make certain decisions based on what it looks like is GOING to happen rather than what IS happening. We never look at what they say, just at the radar itself, because 90% of the time they're wrong. With that kind of a forecast, even if it doesn't rain, chances are there will only be 20-30 cars showing up for the night, and that doesn't even pay the insurance for the evening, let alone the 30 employees we have. Normally even with a mediocre forecast, we open anyhow, but one where there are showers EVERYWHERE, we know that our customers aren't going to come out to chance it, especially with everybody crying poverty.
