Caught the Perseid meteor shower.

Went out last night around 12:40am and cought the most beautiful sight I have probably ever seen at night. Shot them on my tripod, with a Canon Rebel XT, Sigma 17-70 @ 17mm F2.8 1600iso from 15-30 second exposures. These two are completely unedited and straight RAW -> JPEG

glad you got one! i was bummed because it was overcast for a little last night, cleared up later on though. never caught a meteor but its still nice to look up once in a while. little bit of streaking in the second pic, but still a great shot and awesome location. you can barely make out the meteor streak in the water, imagine it was a bright one? that would have looked killer!

Sterling Forrest actually, I'll have more pictures up tomorrow. I went back the following night, but it wasn't as exciting Meteor wise.

Caught a few more the next night but the meteor action wasn't as good as it was the night prior. Just keep in mind these pictures were taken in the pitch dark at 2 in the morning.
