powerblock tv
just when you get used to something, they change it. i was digging lou on muscle car, now i don't even know who is hosting it. and trucks! without stacey isn't trucks! at all. i can't stand the whining voices of the two guys that replaced him.
i do not need courtney in between shows. hell, i don't need her at all. i don't think she is pretty and her body, even with a flat stomach, needs a lot of work (ie., plastic surgery). come to think of it, she could get the point on her nose shaved off. i'm really trying to enjoy extreme 4X4, but with jessie out with health problems more than she is there... it's kind of boring. what do you think? |
yeah...i'm not digging the host changes they made to any of the shows and i can't stand courtney. her voice and crappy delivery drive me up the wall
|
thats why i just look at her ****.
|
courtney is hot....imo
|
I don't even know what time the shows are on anymore. They changed it to later in the day, and I haven't watched since.
|
Kevin on Trucks is good - he is the guy that put out the paint & body DVDs you can buy at eastwood. Thank good they got rid of that bald guy. Ugh.
Not sure about the new guy on muscle car. Lou left to start a shop or something. Months ago. |
i liked the show with the two guys, the chevy guy and the ford guy....then they got rid of the chevy guy and i dont know who is hosting anymore....i htink the show was called musclecar....
|
I still enjoy Extreme 4x4, but most of the others have gone down the tubes.

I've been watching for years and it was never as good a resource as the internet or magazines but fulfilled my tv time. I actually like what musclecar has been working on a 1969 Year One Tribute Trans Am with custom 18in forged honey comb wheels and a LS7. Everything else is a blur and for the record I think Courtney stuffs her shirt and puts on too much clown makeup to get the attention she gets I'm not a fan, but she is better than the Danica hissyfit race car driver and trailer queen before her.

the show with the ford guy and chevy guy was horsepower tv. chuck hanson has too many other responsibilities, so he says, to do a weekly show. they brought in that kid on the honda build and he never left - and i always associate him with the honda which is why i don't want to watch it anymore. i mean, come on, they named a car "LS Gun". too much corn for me. i prefer to watch them building stuff, which is why i liked lou on musclecars so much. he really rolled up his shirt sleeves and got into it. with him gone, i have no idea what they're working on or why. he always gave an explanation for the cars he was working on and had a clear vision of what the end result was going to be. it's nice to see different parts of the build over 3 or 4 shows. some of the programs jump around so much i can't tell what they're working on. stacey used to take a whole season to finish one truck - remember crazy horse? now it's all just a blur of activity, and with all of the interns they have on there you can't tell who was doing what. when ian and jessie started out, the premise looked good, but they were kind of slow in explaining things. i mean, they explained them, but it took a whole show to tell you why they went with coil overs as opposed to leaf springs... but they matured nicely and the show still rocks - when jessie is around. funny how you don't see her lifting those mounted mudders anymore... (she had disc surgery) |
First off, those are winter shows that you should not be watching in nice weather. Second, those are winter shows so seeing Courtney in the middle of winter isn't a bad thing. Third, those are winter shows so you should have your car or truck ready to roll way before now. Fourth, ...nevermind!
When the new season starts and it's 40 degrees out, I'll start watching again. Lou was decent but not easy to listen to. Trucks isn't the same but the new guy is decent, but not easy to listen to. Extreme 4X4 kind of got too extreme because everything they built broke! - |
No one fit the truck show better then Stacy, and Lou was awesome on Muscle Car.
HP TV isnt too bad, even with the young guy there. Him wearing a hat bothers me some.... |
horsepower tv ftw!! they just need to do a 93-97 z28 and I'll be in love
|
The only reason I tune in is to see Courtney.

In fact, the whole Powerblock is sort of my twisted version of Sunday morning church. I wake up with my little guy and let mamma sleep in. He plays with his toys while I watch people build stuff. I love those two hours because they inspire me to get out in the garage where I belong, and occasionally I get a new idea for my own projects. Horsepower TV: I don't hate the new kid. He's pretty knowledgeable. I do miss the Chevy vs. Ford barbs that got thrown back and forth, but still some very impressive motors being built there. Musclecar: I also miss Lou, but again, I don't hate the new kid. What I love most about that show is all the fab work they do. Not everything in our sport is as easy as a bolt on mod, and he can cut, grind and weld about as good as Lou could. Lou brought the funny to the show; it's a little drier now. Trucks: Not horrible. I concentrate on the projects more than I do the hosts. X-treme 4x4: Again, wow do I miss Jesse! But Ian is doing some impressive builds. I'm really happy to see the newest Scrambler project, in which he's using a normal sized garage with tools that schmucks like me would have access to. In fact, everything I see him use on this project I have in my own undersized garage. My two pennies. Now excuse me while I spend my lunch hour searching for sexy pictures of Jesse! (There don't seem to be any) |
FYI guys, According to Jessi's website blog, http://www.jessicombs.com/, she has left the show. So she will not be back. I record the 4 shows on my DVR and watch them in my free time and fast forward through some of the segments. Overall, you can learn a trick once and a while and it is nice to see videos of things being done. Overall, I don't take their word as gospel because they are paid to sell the products they are using. Basically, they are infomercials at times.

I think Musclecar is still the best show out of all of them despite not having Lou on there. |
that sucks about jessie not being on extreme 4X4 anymore... i looked at her sight, www.jessiecombs.com and of course she only has pics of her fully clothed. i was hoping for something a little bit sexier, but she is playing that down, big time. she's currently looking for other females with fabricating skills, perhaps to launch a new show? i'm praying...

Use to watch the powerblock religiously (mostly hp tv) but havent in while, alwyas seem to forget when its on. I like lou also but never really got into the show. Most of the stuff they did on there never really interested me...and i cant stand trucks in general (except for a lightning and srt8 jeep lol) so never watch that either
|
Chuck Hanson has also said that he lost interest in doing some of the stuff when his son died in an accident a few years back.
I lost interest when the whoring became too blatant for me. |
