How do you get a title for a car that dosent have one

I got a car that does not have a title (69 amx 4-speed) It does not have a title. Someon suggested broadwaytitle.com, but I heard that nj does not accept there paper work?? Is that true??

correct, NJ does not accept broadway title.
i ran into this issue but have since tracked down the last owner of my title'less car and hope to resolve it that way.

or u could know someone in a state that works with broadway, have it titled there, then transferred to nj.

What?? Broadway isn't accepted in NJ?? I talked to them a few weeks ago about my bike and they said it shouldn't be a problem.

Paul can you clarify this a little for me? I believe it's only an issue on 92 and newer vehicles isn't it?

i just checked their site, i was mistaken. From about 2006-2007, and till at least about a year ago, they were not able to title to NJ. Their website then constantly had the annoucement referring that they "should soon" be able to title in nj and i think 2 other states soon. But everytime i checke,d over a course of like 8 months, that same message was up, Now, that message is no longer there so i assume it has all been resolved. I may title my 89 directly through them now, i was gonna have my sis in detroit do it then "sell" me the car.(if the last owner cant help).

so paul, sorry for scaring you, being in the service the past year has not allowed me to keep up to date with many things, lol.

Hahah not a problem man. I'm going to use them in the next month or two to title my bike and plan on posting a thread about the whole experience for everyone's information this way we can put this title issue to rest once and for all.
