took the SS to a local car show

... it was right around the block so i decided what they heck. after like 30min there i decided to run home and get the SKY as well. I put in 6 votes just myself for my SS and said forget the sky... well the sky still got more and i got a lame trophy for that and nothing for the SS... oh well. The SS is starting to really bore me lately. thoughts of selling it keep surfacing, but i fight them off, for now at least.

Knipps 08-31-2008 07:19 PM

put the new fun stuff in and you'll forget about selling it (hopefully)

Blackbirdws6 08-31-2008 09:21 PM

I wouldn't sell the camaro just because it didn't win anything in a show.

What did the sky win?

maroman88 08-31-2008 11:45 PM

closter?? my dad was there in the 67 bird

qwikz28 08-31-2008 11:49 PM

new cars always get more attention. keep what attracts you

sweetbmxrider 09-01-2008 02:01 AM

thats just depressing

GP99GT 09-01-2008 08:48 AM

no offense but...it basically looks like a stock SS with an unpainted weird bumper

get all that stuff done, THEN take it out to shows

BigAls87Z28 09-01-2008 09:28 AM

Well maybe when they have a class for Chyrsler Concorde Coupes, you can start winning more.

dude i look at those chryslers and i think, who stole that front end from who. they look so similar

wretched73 09-01-2008 05:27 PM

well the people there with real taste probably voted for the camaro over the sky

V 09-01-2008 09:28 PM

eh its not that its about taste. and just because it didnt win anything isnt the reason its boring me. ive just had it for 7 years now and im growing indifferent to it.

however, the rest of its build up is being put on the back burner till after deployment, and a new project is being started in the meantime. I will not discuss details of this build, i want to keep it a secret. all i will say is the following... LS-based motor, auto, flat black, and codename: Project Stealth. that is all, the car has already been located and im picking it up towards the end of the month. Tha'll give me time to take a break from the SS.

sweetbmxrider 09-01-2008 10:41 PM

its not that vette you had a pic of right?

ar0ck 09-01-2008 10:47 PM

I wouldn't give up on the SS Paul, you have some good ideas brewing for it and the steady income to do whatever the F you want at this point

You know how many shows I've been to in the Z and no one looks interested until I turn it on? I just go to shows to BS with my friends and hang out.

98CamaroSS 09-02-2008 11:24 PM

So you didn't win a $2. trophy with the Camaro, that's no reason to sell it.

V 09-03-2008 05:06 PM

ill say it again.....

ive just had it too long to keep me interested. As for shows etc whatever, i did win 3rd a few years back at etown for camaro/firebirds. that made me happy then, just now, theres nothign exciting with the car for me, i basically built what i wanted and came to an end... now what? yes i can go more insane of course, but thats not what i envisioned the car as. once the blower and other stuff i have is on, its done. and will nto get modded any more. Hell, even the blower may be switched to project stealth.

 thats what I say

I think everyone gets that feeling about their cars but most of us change our minds after a little while.
