who converted their gauge cluster to LED?
I got the cobalt gauges installed in the a-pillar and now I really want my dash gauges to match as best as I can. I want to make the needles light up red/orange and the numbers light up blue, like the cobalt FP gauge. Who has done it?

i was actually looking at gettin some white LED's to go with my white faces guages, but we need so many bulbs i sed fff it lol

I was thinking even a pep boys or autozone or strauss special for em. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg

Ive put LED's in the gauges to replace the stock white bulbs that came in the car. Turned out pretty good. I got them from whitegauges.net. If you look under other products, theres a tab for colored LED's. They even brake it down my model year and sell packages with the right amount of bulbs for you. Ill try and get some pics up of mine some point this weekend.

5 bucks per LED.... we need 11 ted lol

As long as they last I don't mind spending that. |
I did "hyper white" leds in my 4th gen... and it turned them blue and matches my cobalt guages fine...
|
Got any pictures of them?

Here's a crappy pic but you can see the difference between the Cobalt gauge and the cluster:

I'll get pictures for you... but the cobalt is still too damn bright, need to add an resistor so its not as bright,.

I used hyper white leds for my gauges. The 4th gen Camaros have a blue film on the gauges, I'm not too sure if the 3rd gens do or not. The hyper whites gave a blueish look along with keeping the redline and needles looking stock.
The pictures don't do it justice. It's more blue in person. http://www.fquick.com/images/vehicles/full/29123822.jpg |
