Atco Friday 9-12-08 Who's going?
 

I was going to make this thread yesterday but then I looked at the weather and they were calling for showers so I decided not to. I just looked at the weather again and now they're saying friday will be okay and it will be nice and cool(high of 75). So who plans on heading out? I wanna go to get my 12 second pass behind me.

could always go E-town on friday

not an option for me at this point. I'm 17 and they require me getting a notorized letter with parental permission to run so on short notice it's pretty much impossible. Plus Atco>Englishtown

Fixed.....just because Atco doesn't ask for it, doesn't mean they aren't supposed to follow the same rules.

can't go mom's birthday...... plus i have classes in nnj till 9 putting me at the track around 11 anyway

i know the state requires it justin, I just could care less who actually follows it. Atco and E-town are about the same distance from my house so it really doesn't matter, I just prefer Atco to Englishtown.

i personally have never been to atco. What makes it better the E-town?

I have been to both I think Atco is better in a bunch of ways. Track prep has been lacking at e-town, my biggest complaint about e-town is the atmosphere. It is a zoo at every event you go to. You have to worry about people stealing or damaging your belongings (I say this from experience). At Atco you have alot more devoted racers that go there, alot less nonsense. I wish I was closer I would go to Atco more often, I race at Island all year and try to get to the other tracks for special events.

When do atco/etown close for street nights for the year? I need a goal for when to get the whip running.

Atco (when they aren't doing major winter upgrades) is only closed for a few weeks around Christmas and New Years. The last 2 years they have been closed longer for upgrades though.

Speaking of which since I didn't have a size 11 wrench w me at the time i couldnt fix my brakes so who knows if i CAN work tomorrow.. So if anyone is gonna go thru/near bayonne thats going to the track LMK lol
