The deck - finally, progress

The locals know the saga of the deck - been in planning stages for a year or so, finally started this spring. Well, here it is. Just have to stain & landscape - a lot of cleanup now.

That looks really nice. I forgot to poke my head out back and take a look at it when I was there last week.

wow that looks like it was well thought out. deff worth the wait. any koi in the pond?

BonzoHansen 09-14-2008 08:50 PM

It's like the 77 - generally functional , nice to look at, esp from a few feet away. :)

Yes, one koi (~18" or so) and a pile of gold fish, fantails & shebunkins. Came with the house, but it was a disaster when we moved in, no filter, etc., ugh.

sweetbmxrider 09-14-2008 08:55 PM

wow no filter, yikes! my dad and i redid our pond a few years ago. i love it. same assortment but 4 koi's about that size one about half and 3 bull frogs. cool stuff

Anti_Rice_Guy 09-14-2008 09:01 PM

Very nice, I like the bench around the perimeter.

Featherburner 09-14-2008 09:32 PM

Looks kinda small...when is the addition going on?

NJSPEEDER 09-14-2008 09:34 PM

No, the rest of the yard gets taken up by the pool and the detached garage. Then there will be no grass left to mow and Scott's master plan will be complete

BonzoHansen 09-14-2008 09:35 PM

I will pave the enitre property. No, concrete.

I can hook you up with some Scotts lawn care products! Looks great though! My parents & I just about finished our own brick patio at our house this spring.

alex, bring me a small bag of step4. :)

ar0ck 09-14-2008 11:28 PM

Plan on seeding? I can get you either the regular Turf Builder, Turf Builder Winter Guard or Turf Builder Winter Guard with weed preventive. All three can be used this time of the year  It all depends on if you still want to seed!

BonzoHansen 09-15-2008 08:30 AM

I do need to seed in places. Got some Patch Master too? :)

Patch Master is crap its temporary and will be gone as soon as it gets cold out  I'll get you some regular turf builder and some pure premium sun & shade. Thats the good stuff. Even the Starter Fertalizer in the green bag works amazing. I used that & pure premium sun & shade in an area in our lawn that used to have a swing set (15yrs ago) where grass would never grow but after cultivating it and laying some quality seed we have some nice thick & green grass.

Come on down! I'll make burgers on the grill!
