3.8 v6 questions ..99-00 interchangeability

i have an 00 firebird with a blown head gasket and bad trans and i have a 99 with a good motor/trans (and less miles then the 00) but with electrical issues..
so i want to take the motor/trans from hte 99 and put it in the 00..other then obviously swapping the engine harness ..is anything else different between these..like intake and such..sensors etc
any and all help greatly apprieciated!

I believe 98-02 were identical.

They did change the upper intake from the bent neck to a straight neck at some point, other than that I believe everything is the same. Ask Josh from JSPerformance, I know he swapped a 3.8 for someone not too long ago and had some minor issues to contend with, he will know

99 is when it changed from angled, cable driven throttle body to the straight elec. one, so you're good. The two should be exactly the same, except 2000 had tubular exhaust manifolds and it looks like 99 still had logs

Sounds right to me....I don't remember the 99 exhaust that much other than I couldn't afford the 'tube headers' they made in early 2000....I used to have a 99 V-6 Camaro back in Cali. Awesome car once I installed some 'take off' parts off some stock T/A's and SS'S
