T56 Clutch Question

2000 t/a with a t56 about 53000 miles

after WOT operation the clutch pedal does not return all the way, but after a mile or so of normal driving everything is back to normal. Shifting was never a problem until the last few days every once in a while it will give me a little grind like i tried shifting without a clutch but my foot is deff to the floor. im wondering is my system is becoming air bound and after a few shifts works itself back out. or is my slave cylinder going bad.

Has anyone else experienced this??

Try bleeding it first. Then if that doesn't work, do the drill mod. And if that don't work, switch to 01-02 hydralics, and if that don't work, go with a adj. master cylinder.

just checked my clutch fluid, it was low and the fluid that was in there is black and i mean BLACK, i topped it off so well see how it goes once the rain stops

If the fluid is black, I woudl change it ASAP. The color change is a combination of humidity and debris that have found their way into the system. Topping off the fluid would be a very short term solution.

common problem with the LS1s. the fluid gets really hot, it boils and then u get condensation in there. go to www.rangeracceleration.com he has a good right up on Clutch care
