QB's in skirts

I am getting a little tired of the NFL punishing players everytime they lay a good lick on someone. Instead of worrying about "protecting" the QB's by not letting anyone touch them, how about making a complete set of pads a requirement.

I don't see how QB's are any more vulnerable than a receiver catching a ball across the middle or a running back breaking through the line. If other positions are expected to take the hit, why can't the quarterback?

This is foootball, not ballet. They wanna play the game, make them play the whole game, even the parts that may suck.

The quarterback takes 100% of the offensive snaps and touches the ball 99% of the time ( until Miami started with this crazy wild-cat horse poo). This is why that position is so much more protected than the others. Also, for the most part, the QB isn't 270lbs and/or lightning fast. The Qb is also a target for every defensive player unlike WR's who rarely get tackled by d-linemen or LB's.

With that all said, I agree with you 100%.

At least when the other players get hit, they are also in a full sprint.
The QB is almost always standing still, taking all the force.

Who is paid more?

That's why.

Having said that, I'd like to see them recind the fair catch rule. You want to see good hits? Watch the kickoff receiver.
