Winter Rims Installed

installed my sweet early C5 rims for the winter... with a lovely set of dry rotted eagle F1's lol. 17's up front and 18's barely fitting in the back

For winter wheels? Nice. Get some high-tech snow tires

Winter wheels for any vehicle aren't supposed to be pimpin. Looks good but you're gonna want some good tires on there Mike.

maroman88 10-06-2008 11:38 PM

lol it did cross my mind to paint em white!

im not that concerned with tires... i wont actually drive it in the snow, other then in my neighborhood for pleasure lol, altho the fronts make a horrible noise lol

I like these wheels better.

NJ Torque 10-08-2008 05:51 PM

get the inserts for them..

Looks good, but it ain't snowin' yet! Why'd you put the winter rims on so early? I won't take the 18's off my Jeep until there's the threat of snow in the forecast. :)

Not so early. It was 24 yesterday morning when I left my house at 630 . My truck's winter wheels go on this Friday.

True enough, it was 29 yesterday morning here. I'm still gonna wait a few more weeks though; I like freezing my arse off while changing the wheels out.

That doesn't look bad. You get the inserts for them though, it's make it look better...not that it matters that much since they're winter rims.

maroman88 10-09-2008 09:14 AM

what do these inserts consist of? ill have to look into it

Frosty 10-09-2008 09:18 AM

Nothing fancy but the inserts kind of break up the thickness of the spokes, it's a cheap easy mod that looks decent.

maroman88 10-09-2008 09:21 AM

ehh im notfeeling those

maybe just some center cap decals...
