good question, im trying to figure out how to let me play music from my ipod fro a diff computer... thatd be helpful to tho for sure

When you plug your ipod in and you click cancel to syncing your songs, Click your ipod in the left hand column. It should show you that your ipod is up to date, give you the option to restore your ipod to factory settings and under that it has the option to sync your library when you plug it in. Or you can manually control your library. click that if it isn't clicked already. Then just drag the songs you want added to your library. Should work
|
hes got it.
click manually manage music... go to yer library and highlight wat u want and drag it over to yer ipod and drop. highlighting u can hold shift and click on number one and the last one and will highlight all or hold ctrl and click whatever ones u want. |

There is a program called iPod Rip, i think that's the name, and it allows you to sync songs from different computers, anything from a PC to an Apple, without deleting all your current files. If you sync an iPod to a PC, normally, it won't allow you to sync songs on an apple thereafter until you delete all your songs from the PC, and vise-versa. But with this program, apparently, you can.

I am still surprised at the popularity of iPod with all the restrictions. I really would hate to have one. It seems to be such a pita. I like the idea of an MP3 player, but I just want to be able to load what ever songs where ever and when ever I want.
The gf has a Zune, and that thing is pretty cool. Little chunky, but cool. |
zunes suck. i had a zune and an ipod. so has one of my friends and he likes the zune better so i guess its all personal preference. i wouldnt get any other mp3 player other than ipod cuz i like how they work and whatever.

sharepod

Only restriction I know of w/ the ipod is you can't copy the songs off it.. doesn't seem all that bad to me. My roommate copied all the files off his and itunes recognized all the details, he just doesn't know what file is which song

I pay $15 a month for unlimited music downloads with my Zune. The new update just put the Marketplace (where you download you rmusic) onto the zune device itself, so anywhere that there is Wifi you can download music. They also put games on it too but that doesn't really matter to me.

Now, I have two MP3 players. A video ipod, and a little sony mps player about the size of 25 cent 5 pack of gum, or a bic lighter, if you will.
I like the ipod fr the vid capabilities, and whatever else. But the little 1G sony also doubles as a flash drive, and records audio as well. It even plays the radio. I get the benefits of both, I could argue for either side. |

I'm pretty happy with my iPod Touch :)
I've used the Zune, as well as several other portable mp3 players, and they just don't compare. - Justin |
