Cowboys...let the drama begin

Well, as predicted, the NFL's version of the Springer Show is starting to get on a roll.

The follow up to T.O. crying about not getting enough balls thrown his way after he only dropped 5 passes is the return of PacMan.

Adam Jones got into a fight with his own security guard!!! How does one get into a bar brawl with the person who was hired specifically to keep you out of trouble? I have no idea.

Although no charges were filed, it is a perfect example of how much growing up one can do when they have a criminal record reaching back to child hood, millions of dollars, shady friends, and T.O. as a role model.

The NFL is taking a look at the incident even though Jerry Jones has decided that no disciplinary action is needed. Note, PacMan's contract states that ANY off field incident detrimental to the team or it's image is grounds for voiding the contract. I guess fighting in front of a few hundred people at a Ludacris event is fine as long as no charges are filed. lol

I hope the NFL kicks him out again. Maybe someday, someone will learn that being a total d'bag isn't acceptable no matter how much money you have. For better or worse, lots of little kids look up to these idiots, it is about time they took that part of the job seriously.

BTW, Tank Johnson(also on the NFL's **** list) tried to justify the idea that nothing needs to be done by pointing out that no one ended up in the hospital and no charges were filed, like that makes it ok.

Jerry Jones won't do anything, if they were 0-4 he would've canned him quickfast.

I'd like to see the NFL take action, I mean these players have the world by the balls....they're in great physical shape, $$$ out the ass, they could get any woman they want, any house and car they want...and they still act like they're living in the ghetto...it's ridiculous.

F him, F Tank Johnson and F any other player that doesn't realize they've truly been blessed.

Oh yeah, another reason I'm a hardcore hockey fan...you don't see crap like this happening...

Mike 10-10-2008 11:20 AM

yeah in hockey they just punch each other from behind and swing the sticks like clubs.........right there are no morons in hockey

Frosty 10-10-2008 11:22 AM

When is the last time you heard of hockey players getting into big fights at clubs, getting shot, getting sent to jail for drug possession and sales?

BonzoHansen 10-10-2008 11:27 AM

Rick Tocchet? Marty McSorely? Todd Bertuzzi?

All sports have these issues.

Tocchet was off the ice.

The other two were on ice actions(unless I'm forgetting something).

So that's ONE example. How many football issues have there been so far?

You're right, every sport has its issues but some have more than others...I guess I upset someone because I think hockey players seem to keep their nose cleaner than other sports.

Of course I do, it's just mild trash talking. :)

Good thing you arent a fish Mike 'cause you'd swallow the hook.

The professional sports leagues all have councellors work with young players to manage their money. I don't think any of them comes from millionaire households so they have never seen that kind of pay. What needs to be worked on is their attitude and PR once they are off the field / ice / court whatever. Being the center of attention with all kinds of people fawning over them is as strange as the paychecks they get.

Mike 10-10-2008 11:48 AM

tims thread sucks anyway................

the kid has been on the straight and narrow for a while, and jerry jones has these guys walking around with him on a leash 24/7.......throw in some alcohol and some ****-blocking, and it was bound to happen

my question........steve smith and ray lucas of the panthers got in a fight and the nfl didnt get involved becasue "its a team issue when 2 team employees fight"

so why is the nfl going to get involved in this? they are both cowboys employees

a good percentage come from rich households, the amount of former players kids making the pros is going up........at the same time, all those kids seem to handle it better

I think it's different for Jones because he's been in so much trouble in the past. This is far from the first time he's been around the drama...but then again you have a valid point.

NJSPEEDER 10-10-2008 11:53 AM

The only real difference between the NFL drama and the NHL drama is that hockey isn't nearly as popular in the US.

If the NFL doesn't do something about this I will be very disappointed. The right message was sent, now it needs to be reinforced.

Mike 10-10-2008 11:54 AM

steve smith and ray lucas BOTH have very checkered historys
