I got the gmmg catback

Ok this morning i drove an hour away and picked up this beautiful gmmg. $500 for catback, $70 for tips, $30 in gas. I saved about $300. The I-Pipe isnt in the pics but i do have it. I brought it inside the appartment and spent 40 mins polishing it.

For now it will just be off stock manifolds and stock catted y pipe so its not going to give you the full effect of it with longtubes.

The vid of it on my car turn volume up sound quality is good

give me a couple hours having it put on at 1pm, dont forget this will be a catback only so the manifolds and stock catted y pipe will restrict some sound. So i only expect it to sound louder than stock with a better idle sound and noticeable enough above 3,000 rpm to turn at least 1 head.

sweetbmxrider 10-18-2008 12:23 PM

dude its going to sound sick. looks great. if you don't like it, pm me a price :D

What kind of tips are those? They should look pretty good on the T/A and sound amazing.

Hooker tips, so theres two of them out by the rear bumper now.

Im not impressed by the sound. I guess you really need a cam to make it sound worth while... Thanks for posting it, Now I know a mufflex exhaust will be perfect for me.

it needs headers and a cam to bring out the exhaust i did mention that kind of in my first post.

He also doesn't have headers/high flow cat. Not to mention your engine will sound completely different than an LS1.

qwikz28 10-18-2008 03:56 PM

i disagree actually. i think this exhaust sounds best with stock motor and stock manifolds. with long tubes and cam, everything sounds similar IMO

NJSPEEDER 10-18-2008 03:59 PM

Sounds nice and looks good under there. I would still take the tone of my Mufflex 3.5 w/Spintech though. I am also still on stock maniflds and cats......but not for long. heh

soundclip of yours?

NJSPEEDER 10-18-2008 04:29 PM

I will have to get some soon. It is a reasonable loud system, but the spintech muffler eliminates a lot of the LS1 rasp nicely.

Should have a sound clip with in the next week or so :)

DaSkinnyGuy 10-18-2008 06:01 PM

I added another video its the first one but part 2

bcgetfresh 10-18-2008 08:41 PM

GMMG is the best sounding exhaust for the ls1 IMO. Sounds sick man and will sound even better with LT's and ORY.. Next mods get some subframes and LCA's! Makes a huge difference...

BigRocsFirebird 10-18-2008 10:05 PM

sounds great man i know you got alot more you want to do with her but i cant wait to see it when school is over or some way i can visit you. but nice and i cant wait to hear pual's thoughts... aha

sweetbmxrider 10-19-2008 12:22 PM

lt1 sounds dirty!

edpontiac91 10-19-2008 06:57 PM

Those systems on an LS1 sound sick. Love the sound! I would really like to put on one of those my L98, but it would NEVER sound that good without a cam. Even with my Edlebrock THS headers and gutted cats, my BORLA sounds OK, but I really am impressed on how good it sounds and LOOKS!
