So what do you think of my list?
Here is my list of future mods....current mods are in sig. All prices are from Ws6store, so if anyone can find the same group of parts somewhere cheaper that'd be great since I'm a poor high school kid who needs to make his money stretch. The list is:

i ordered the subframe connectors and the lca/panhard rod kit from lmperformance.com
it took 2 days to get my stuff |
They do make them in PA.... lol. but can you get the torque arm that mounts off of the tranny?
i would search ls1tech. i see stuff pop up there every so often. most in very good to new condition. i would also consider getting adjustable components, to dial that bitch in
Get adjustable torque arm, control arms, and panhard. The ability to properly center and square the rear as well as setting pinion angle is a big part of getting a car to handle and hook properly.
Talk to Josh at JSPerformance, he is a UMI dealer and will be able to give you all of the correct information to help with your decisions. |
Order was placed. I went with all of the nonadjustable stuff for two reasons: 1. it's still better than stock and 2. I was looking at the cost to get the suspension set up and it would be way too much in the long run for me. I shopped around and was able to get everything I wanted except the tower brace for $845 shipped to the door. I figured that that tower brace really isn't going to help me go down the track any faster so I'm going to try to cut costs a little and hold off on that. Now the next thing on the list is some rims and tires....then the rear will go KABOOM :)

i got all my sus stuff used some of it was brand new, some others where rusted but thats why we got sandpaper and rustolum. just my 2 cents
well enjoy!
Well somehow the parts showed up at my front door at 8:30 in the morning and my ass didn't role outta bed til 10:30 with work at 2 in the afternoon so I figured I would get the LCa's and relocation brackets done today. Ofcoarse I didn't get the car back together until 2:15 and in the time between it started raining so I don't get to see if they really help until the dry ground tomorrow.
If you had a auto car, I'd say the non adju. TQ arm... dont worry about the non adju LCA's/Panhard bar.... thats fine...

im buying used LCAs 80.00 shipped slp 3 point sfcs 150.00 picked up im gonna look for an adjustable PHB and adj chassis mount tq arm as well |
Well everythings installed except for the tq arm. I plan on tackling that task tomorrow. The only problem I'm having right now is a small clunk when i go over bumps, but it doesn't happen all the time. I believe it's the panhard bar hitting the exhaust. I'll find out tomorrow when I get back under the car.
Did you grease everything?
make sure everything is torqued correctly and make sure the relocation brackets are secured. don't know if they are weld ins or bolt ins. definitely chase down the clunk before it turns into a bang!

bad tranny mount? post up what you find.
It was a small hanger holding the brake lines that hit the pan hard bar every now and again. I'm on my way out to a hair cut now Leaving the car up in the air. The tq arm is out of the car now I'm just trying to get the rivits outta the mount right next to the trans which is being a bitch. I'll tackle that later and hopefully have the car rolling again by 7 tonight.
sounds good
Well everything is done, no knock anymore :). With the roads slick I can't really tell much but the shifter no longer moves if I purposely bog the car the the rear and trans are now solid which is nice. I might go and really "test" it tomorrow if the roads really dry up, but I'm not gonna rush anything because I had a lil incident on the parkway testing the Lca's on Sunday morning :)
