tire rubbing solution?
i have a 98 ta with aftermarket corvette rims on the front of my ta and the tire is rubbing on the wheel well in turns. how much of a reduction of tire size is needed to stop the rubbing. the tire on there now is pretty much bald and it was a 275/40/18. will a 275/35/18 do the trick or do i have to go smaller any help appreciated.

you really don't want to go any taller than a 35. or any skinnier than 275 on a corvette rim ( which are usually 10.5 in the rear) the best thing to do would be the BFH* mod to the rear wheel well to clear up some space. I honestly recommend a 285-35-18

Hes talking about his front wheels which are 9.5". Mike I suggest going with a 275/35/18 since you 9.5's all around. Thats what I'm running on my car and I don't have any rubbing issues and you've seen how low my car is up front. It'll look much better up front and should eliminate the rubbing.

mine rub the wheel wells also when i turn it as far as you can go. its just the last little bit of turning the wheel where you cant really turn no more so i just back off a tiny amount it dosent make a differnce for me

i need to do the BFH mod when i put the vette rims back on :)
