Sponsors now easier to see

As some of you may have noticed, we made a small change to our NJFBOA Supporting Sponsors. Their user names now show up in red. This was done to help members more easily identify the sponsors that can help with their projects with great products, services, and advice.

Anti_Rice_Guy 10-25-2008 06:12 PM

Did your mom tell you that Matt?

sweetbmxrider 10-25-2008 07:58 PM

should be yellow. the red blends in with the orange too much.

Yellow on light blue doesn't stand out much....

.....i disagree. i know you won't change it but to further my point:

I can change it without a problem (only takes 8-10 seconds to do it)....but I tried a few different colors, and the red stood out the most against the light blue background, so that's what I went with.

hey if it works, game on 8-)

Rich189 10-26-2008 05:52 AM

Yep its almost as good as green... we should get special sponsor powers

mc73nova 10-26-2008 07:54 AM

I personally like the red.

sweetbmxrider 10-26-2008 10:52 AM

i think i'll get used to it. it just seemed similar to the orange of justin, bonzo, and tim. its definitely not blue!

Knipps 10-26-2008 01:57 PM

red > yellow

Hey Justin... im sure you know the in's and out's of vbulletin... if you go into the postbit_legacy template, you can easily write a script with a custom image that says "sponsor" or something... I did soemthing like that on an old gaming site when people "donated" they got thrown into the "donator" usergroup and it displayed a "Donator" image on the bottom of the postbit (where it says Report Post and User Online)

And if you wanted to get technical, since it looks like you have a seperate usergroup for sponsors, u can allow the sponsors usergroup to edit a field in their profile to put in their website url, and it will display a "Sponsor" banner somewhere in the postbit and if you click it itll bring you to their webpage... i dunno, just tossing ideas that I've used before...

sweetbmxrider 10-27-2008 03:12 PM

those are sweet ideas bigdaddykane. i have seen it on other forums, its a rather professional touch

Tru2Chevy 10-27-2008 03:31 PM

Thanks Noah...I never thought about using the sponsor usergroup to their advantage that way. I'll see if I can throw something together....

I'm a double sponsor, a non-super moderator, and a power member. Can my username be rainbow colored?

sweetbmxrider 10-27-2008 06:58 PM

it should either glisten or disappear
