Facebook Virus
Hey all, I don't post too much here, but I came across something on facebook today and thought I would share. One of my friends posted on my wall a message that reads something like:
"Hey have you seen that blog about you? Someone just showed me it just yesterday You might wanna check out yourself." With a link to go check out the site. The link redirects you to blog.ifaceibook.com and asks you to enter your facebook login credentials. This clearly seemed wrong to me so I did some quick googling and came up with this post and it does indeed appear to be some kind of malicious website. I'm not sure if this site attempts to exploit that gaping hole in SMB that Microsoft released the patch for the other day or not as I'm on Linux. Basically I just wanted to warn everyone that uses facebook to be on the lookout for this because if you aren't paying attention it could be easy to click the link and enter your login info. OK time to get back to the wide band O2 install. :-P |
not really a virus, more like password phishing. people need to get a life.
