sidenote-

Last year i was on a 12 bolt rear w/ 373s, chassis mount tq arm, no tune, crappy T56, and 100 extra lbs out of the car.

Now i have a badass T56, and a Chummma tune --> which made a big difference. BUT im on a stock torque arm, a 10bolt with 3.42s, and i didnt bother stripping the interior and a few other things (+100lbs). my back seat is out but all interior parts were left in.

this was done on a friday night, track unprepped, i spun alot on my other runs and wound up not launching as high, which of course i hooked that time and i bogged a bit.

normally when i hook, im coming out of the hole around 5500-5800 rpm, not sidestepping the clutch but not dragging it out either.

I really want to hit 11s with the +100lbs and 3.42 gears, then i will take weight out, and look for another rear with 3.73s, 3.90s, or 4.10s

My ultimate goal is to go 11.70s on stock internals.

you would have been there if they had prepped the track

thanx, the carpet/sound deadening was close to 40lbs if i recall correctly, pass seat is 34, so thats 74lbs right there, center console with crap in it, 10lbs, up to 84 lbs now. sail panels, other trim pieces, door panels are supposedly 20lbs together. and theres other weight to drop, not just the interior. it all adds up my friend  i know i could drop 150-200 more lbs from it if need be, even more. it all depends on how much i want to take out, and spend to make it lighter

Play with the tire pressures and work on getting the launch down. You have plenty of MPH to get it done, just need to get that tenth back off of the 60ft time.

Congrats on the progress Ron.

thanx! i know im not going on friday nights anymore lol. my car wasnt hooking very well. maybe on a tuesday or thursday night. maybe dave milcarek can get a pic of my car pulling a 1.6x or 1.70 60' :) i think my 3.42s might be holding me back a bit. tires were at 19psi in the rear 40 up front. i think im going to try 22-24psi in the rear. because when it hooked, it HOOKED! lol

Pump the fronts up to 50-55 for just a bit less rolling resistance. Just remember to air them down before you leave.
