So my costume this year...

...Was not what I originally intended. BUT, I did still make it. And it was awesome. People stopped us for pictures in NYC, cheered, and gave us high fives. This picture is not from NYC, when our shirts matched better than they do here, but, whatever, soo.....
Yes, we were (Pat and I) Lego Mini Figs. Observe: |
I'm on the right, hence the "eyelashes." The mouth was equipped with a hole so I could still drink with the head on (through a straw.)

Looks good Lizzie!

Disappointing. I was expecting greatness.

It WAS great, Al. Those lego heads are AWESOME!
|
I was expecting more pizzaz.
They do look pretty awesome though. How did you make the heads? |

Very cool. You should have had hats, wigs, and possibly other lego-things to put on. That would have made it epic.
|
No lego hairs or hats/helmets ?
Pretty decent idea. Sure Bonzo's kids would like a visit from you two :) |

With the reaction I got in the city from passers-by, I think I'll be a lego mini-fig next year too. Although next year I'll spend much more time on the costume, and try to do all those extra things, get the whole-body thing. This year I started making it the night before halloween and was spray painting up until we left for the city. Talk about last minute. I got wet paint on my coat that night. The boxes dried in the car on the way up there.

BE A LEGO PIRATE WITH AN ATTACHABLE PARROT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that would be the cooooooooooooooooooolest
